hello,
In the context of the sectional playing that happens in concert band, I know there are some differences between how one would write than just for solo playing a la an orchestra. Are there any tips you would have as far as items that work in concert band but not in other ensembles or vice versa? (Did that question make any sense? Basically, I'm looking for "saxophones have trouble cutting with melodies over the rest of the woodwinds" or tidbits like that)
